If your practice has a finishing lab (or is thinking of adding one) and you need to handle lots of jobs quickly, a new product from Coburn, called Agility, is capable of deblocking over 200 lenses per hour, the company says. A press release explains that both lenses are automatically removed from a job tray, placed onto the appropriate deblocking rings and then deblocked simultaneously—without using a water jet, which can cause alloy waste, as in other technology.

Coburn says the Agility complements its automated post-polishing product offerings, which also include the Duality De-Taper & Cleaner and the Velocity Lens Coater.
