Phillies right fielder Bryce Harper will help Johnson & Johnson Vision promote the new Acuvue Oasys Transitions contact lens. |
Practices interested in offering Johnson & Johnson Vision’s new photochromic contact lens can start placing orders today, the company announced. The two-week disposable lens darkens in the presence of UV light to protect patients from exposure, similar to Transitions ophthalmic lenses. The company says its research shows that about two in three Americans are bothered by some type of lighting condition on an average day, with driving being the most common situation where sunlight proves distracting.
The company also announced that baseball star Bryce Harper—newly signed to the Philadelphia Phillies—will promote the lens, wearing it during games and sharing his firsthand experience through a video content series.
