Devoting ourselves to CE is critical for optometrists—a career-long endeavor we all welcome and enjoy as a way to stay connected with the times, and with each other. As we are all busy clinicians with many demands on our time, it is often a challenging task to track the number of CE courses available to us. From one-day seminars with a narrow focus to the large, multi-day conferences that feature dozens of speakers and hundreds of course topics, it can be overwhelming to determine which meetings to attend for the coming year. And it’s always a disappointment to hear about an innovative course or an interesting meeting after the fact.
To help, Review of Optometry created this annual compendium of the courses available for the coming year. With over 200 continuing education events planned for 2015, optometric societies and universities clearly understand the exciting opportunities that
ongoing education presents to us, not only as individual doctors but also to our profession.
Review of Optometry recognizes this as well. We’re excited to continue our “New Technologies and Treatments in Vision Care” educational series in 2015. These meetings will be held across the country and will focus on dry eye, surgical comanagement, glaucoma and other hot topics. We hope this special supplement will be a useful tool as you plan your continuing education efforts.
