Astigmatic contact lens patients now have a new option for monthly replacement: the Air Optix Plus Hydraglyde for Astigmatism from Alcon. Specifically, Alcon says unique attributes of the lens’s design support long-lasting surface moisture, hold the lens in place with every blink and guard against deposit build-up.
Made of Alcon’s lotrafilcon B silicone hydrogel material, the lens has a water content of 33% and dk/t of 108. Sphere power range is -10D to +6D, and cyl powers are -0.75, -1.25, -1.75 and -2.25 at axes 10 to 180 in 10-degree steps.
