The optometry community in Louisiana mourns the loss of one of its own—Dr. Brent Hachfeld, a caring and compassionate O.D. who practiced at Wal-Mart Vision Center in Slidell, La., for nine years, and also volunteered his services to Lion’s Club International.
Dr. Hachfeld, 37, was murdered in downtown New Orleans on October 16, leaving behind his wife (also an optometrist) and a young daughter.
