If you’ve wanted to fit high astigmats with a monthly toric but couldn’t find a lens for them, now you can. So said Bausch +Lomb today in announcing a new -2.75D cyl option for its Ultra for Astigmatism contact lenses, which it calls “the only monthly planned replacement lens with this cylinder power available in the fit set.” The new option is available across all power ranges in the portfolio, from +6.00D to -9.00D. Previously, patients with such a need would require a special order and a follow-up appointment. “Now, patients can be fit in the lens and take home a trial pair within the same visit,” said contact lens specialist Mile Brujic, OD, in a B+L press release, “making the visit more productive while fulfilling the needs of my patients.”
