Early-bird registration and housing for the American Academy of Optometry’s annual meeting, Academy 2018 San Antonio, is now open. Registration at reduced rates will end on September 7, and the meeting will take place from November 7 to 10 at the Henry B. González Convention Center in San Antonio, TX.
Education for Academy 2018 will include a plenary session covering the future of health care delivery, the Monroe J. Hirsch Research Symposium on vision restoration for retinal degenerative disease, a symposium about contact lens discomfort, the fourth joint symposium held in conjunction with the American Academy of Ophthalmology (this year on advances in ocular imaging) and more.
In all, the conference will feature over 250 hours of lectures and workshops in addition to Section and Special Interest Group symposia, scientific papers and posters, an exhibit hall and social events.
